Next week, Games of Thrones will return to our screens as season 8 - the finale - debuts on Sky Atlantic. I've never seen it, but realise I might be on my own there. People who watch it seem to love it, which goes some way to explaining the surge in GoT-inspired baby names.
There's an infographic below, taken from Names.org, which shows the top 13, but essentially Arya and Emilia are the soaring successes, names-wise. More interesting, perhaps, are the more obscure names - like Renly, Daenerys, Sansa and Khaleesi - which didn't appear on any recent registers prior to 2010, when the first season aired.
Favourite? Kit wins it for me.
